Reading Week

Reading week is something that I have never heard of before and it seems to be a mix between autumn holiday and midterms. No classes for a week but lots of work that needs to be handed in already in the beginning of the week. So I have spent my weekend writing an essay and a short story and finally some work is finished for this semester. The rest of the week will be a mix of everything. Today I need a day off from absolutely all schoolwork but before the week is over I have lots of homework to do and friends are coming here to spend the weekend with me. Halloween party on friday night and then a weekend without studying!

Already a month in England

So time really flies by. It's October and I've been living in England for more than a month now. I'm trying to make the best of my time here and there sure is a lot to do! I'm studying pretty much all the time and at the same time I'm trying to get a glimpse of London and the rest of the country, not the easiest thing to do! I've started to know my way around and I'm planning to do a lot of things before leaving! Here are some photos from my first week here

First day of university in England

So, I've been in England for almost two weeks, trying to settle before university classes starts. And today is the day where everything starts and I have mixed feelings about it. After not been studying or working for a couple of weeks I don't really feel excited to start again. But my classes seem to be interesting and I'm sure I will have a good time. It will be nice to have a break from my normal University, and improve my language even more thanks to living in a country where the language is spoken.

London 2014

This autumn I will be spending in England, London to be more exact. I've been given the opportunity to study abroad for a term, instead of my usual English term at University back home. I'm really excited to be living in what in my opinion is the capital of Europe. I'll be closer to some of my friends, will hopefully be taking courses I cannot take in Sweden, improving my English, experience real university life, make new friends for life and so on. But I will also be missing home, more specifically near and dear ones. I'm really happy to go but I'm also really happy I'm only going for a term and not for a full year, this due to everything and everyone I'll be missing at home. I've already spent some time abroad studying this year, and I've been studying abroad before so I feel more comfortable with going because it's familiar. But at the same time I know what will be difficult, so it's really an experience that's both good and bad.

Since I came home from Spain I've spent a lot of time with people close to me and I couldn't be happier. I know where I want to be in life and what I want, and I know I'm there. So London will only be a short break to get some experience on my own before coming back to my hometown.
Home is always where the heart is and my heart will stay in Stockholm.
